Bio

Autumn McKenzie believes there is something beautiful and powerful in each of us.  We are all here on this earth for a reason. We were born at a specific time in history to effect eternal change. Our dreams and goals are important and powerful when aligned with God’s will!

She encourages you to capitalize on NOW because time is uncertain, but God is faithful. Understanding the power of change whether engineered, anticipated, or unexpected is paramount.

Autumn harnesses the power of time and change to pursue life with bold faith, urgency and intention.

She is a former Division I student-athlete at Colgate University with a concentration in Neuroscience.  Most notably, she led her team to win back-to-back Conference Championships and first ever appearance of a Colgate Women’s team in the NCAA. This lead to the automatic bid for the Patriot League to the NCAA tournament.  Colgate retired her volleyball jersey. Autumn was recognized by the Patriot League and Colgate University as a “Trailblazer of Distinction.”

She obtained her Master of Health Sciences and Physician Assistant training at Duke University.  Currently, she practices Emergency Medicine at Johns Hopkins Emergency Department.

She was married to an exceptional man, raising two incredible girls, and had a remarkable career when her life was broad sided by extreme change. Her husband was diagnosed with end stage lung cancer and died one year later.

Struck by the brevity of life and her own mortality, she launched her blog to show her two girls that their dreams are important and anything and everything is still possible.

When her mom passed away after a catastrophic stroke, Autumn stepped into her mother’s shoes to raise her niece and nephew. Autumn McKenzie is raising the next generation with a heart for God, family, and humanity.

Autumn has big dreams to help others understand the power of change and fuel hope. She has learned that time is a gift and change is inevitable and powerful and she shares her testimonies with you. She has learned to maximize personal growth through change because God is her constant. She is compelled to share her story with the world because of God’s love and grace that enables her to navigate change and live boldly. Her testimony speaks of God’s faithfulness.

Persevere and grow through change because God has a unique predestined plan for your life.

She attends church with her family at National Community Church.

...I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus
— Philippians 3: 12-14
