Money Talk and Time Freedom
/As much as I want to avoid the topic, money has to be a part of the discussion. We are each fortunate enough to have paychecks in excess of our needs. Still, it was not too long ago when I had a severe income and bill/debt mismatch.
I am grateful to have a job that I love and pays well. One would think that should be the end of the discussion, and for many people it is. I want something different. I do not see wealth as an accumulation of things, I measure wealth in health and time.
Nonetheless, in living life, I generate bills and they do not pay themselves. I have more creature comforts than I care to admit. If I had fewer, I could arrive at my financial goals sooner. I walk a fine line of living today and preparing for tomorrow. I do not want to miss out on living today but I will not be reckless. I do not want to take anything for granted. One day I will be able to command my time freely.
