Never Give Up

I deleted the video.

My mouth appliance as a metaphor for life… It adds a layer of complexity to my life. I wanted to use it as an excuse not to do videos, right?. .

I have a tremendous dentist and I believe in her work.  We have been in her care for the past two years.  Arguably, I drive past a hundred dentists to get to her.  I sought her out for my children because of holistic dentistry and physiologic orthodontics but she quickly won me over, also. My upper and lower jaws are fit with a fixed device that will be in place the next 4 months.  One down three to go.

No Pain No Gain

The old adage of no pain no gain applies to physical, emotional, and spiritual growth.

Once I set my mind on something, I tend to be all in. There might be some whining and complaining involved, but ultimately, I like to be a woman of my word.  At times I wonder -who agreed to do this. Still, I like to see things through.

In an age of microwave results and hacks, we overlook the work that has to be done and it is never easy.

Bigger than me

Conversely, I am diving into projects that are bigger than myself. I am driven by God’s love for me. His grace has shown me through difficult times and it is because of his grace that I do the things that I do now. It is less about me these days. This video is a perfect example of me forgetting this. I am talking about myself and what I can do. It is not about me. I woke up this morning thinking about my video “ I should probably delete that.” Quick to learn and easy to forget.  Daily reminders are super important. My morning quiet time helps re-center me daily. I am a work in progress
