Confession of Faith

I believe in Jesus Christ. You have heard me share my stories. If you want access to the hope I share, it is freely given. If you have never made a declaration of faith in Jesus Christ and you want to make that commitment, here is how. Speak this out loud even if you are by yourself.

I confess with my mouth, Jesus is Lord. I believe in my heart that God raised him from the dead. I surrender my life- Time, talent, treasure. Past, present, future. Heart, soul, mind, and strength to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. God is my Father. Jesus is my Savior. The Holy Spirit is my Helper. And Heaven is my home. In Jesus’ name, amen
— Pastor Mark Batterson

I pulled this from Pastor Mark’s sermon. He packaged it very well! Sharing the full sermon.

If you are making this declaration for the first time, this is a BIG deal! Congratulations and welcome! Although you may not feel anything physically, you have been made brand new spiritually and have new access to the Kingdom of God through Jesus Christ! You have a new identity in Christ. From here out, you have the option for worry free living. I’m not saying you won’t have problems, you have access to different strategies to fight them.

You have been given supernatural armor. You will need to learn where to find it, how to put it on, and how to use it. The most important part is fighting (not physically) while remembering you have already won. You are fighting from victory. What a concept, right? All you have to do is learn who you are created to be in the Kingdom, earn how to use your armor, and remember to wear it.

Please send me a note about your testimony. I would love to send a prayer of blessings over your new life and praise God for and with you as you launch on your new adventure. I will only share it, if you give me explicit permission to do so.

You will need a Bible and a church home. Reach out if you need a bible or need a church recommendation. This is my church home, National Community Church, in Washington DC. You are welcome to join us online until you find something in your hometown!
