Happy Place
Everybody needs at least one.
It is necessary to recharge. No one can perform endlessly. It is important to identify ways to refresh and renew. Personally, I like quiet places with visual interest where I can completely clear my head, generate fresh ideas, or find solutions to problems.
The easiest and most accessible happy place is my garden. In my garden, I am endlessly captivated. In a relatively small space, I have a butterfly, berry, shade, rock, and container gardens. Sitting in the midst of blooms and the buzz of insects is captivating. I walk through it every day and every day there is a show. I can sit there for hours with #mind heart soul freedom. My girls have made this their happy place, too. They are full of wonder and are happy explorers. They can’t wait to find out what is new each day- new blooms, ripened berries, etc. This is my quick daily recharge.
My ultimate happy place is the ocean. I sit in awe of the expanse of the ocean. It puts everything into perspective for me and I am able to clear my head. The sound, smell, and feel of the beach and ocean pull me in. I run and it is work. However, running on the beach is almost effortless. I can run for miles. Depending on which coast I am on, I love to see the sun rise or set.
Recharging is absolutely necessary. Where is your happy place?
