What Happens if You Die?

Purpose

My hope is that we all somehow find the urgency to live this life according to our dreams and purpose

Emergency Medicine

I practice emergency medicine as a Physician Assistant.  Every problem starts with worse case scenario and then we build a case for and against it.  The environment is charged. I am surrounded by urgency.

Death hits my home

My husband died in his thirties.  Nobody saw it coming.  I was devastated.  This week my daughter turns ten. Five years ago this same week we lost her father, my husband, to Cancer.

Life did not stop

I had to continue to work.  I had two little girls depending on me. I had bills to pay. God carried us through. I can take little credit.

Enter urgency

As I wrestled with numerous things in the aftermath of my husband’s death, my girls asked me a question that acutely redirected my attention. “What happens if you die?” A flood of emotions washed over me.  The words hung in the air begging for an answer.  Until that moment, not once had I considered my own mortality.

Every Day Matters

Essentially, I started blogging because of that question.  I believe that God has a plan for our lives.  I want my girls to know that anything is possible and I have to show them.  I can’t expect anything from my girls that I am not willing to do myself.  I believe that I am still on this earth for a reason.  We each have been given tremendous gifts and are meant to do more.  I am now pursuing life with fervor.

What do you want your life to have meant?

Tomorrow is not promised.

Who are you? Are your investing in becoming the best version of yourself?

What do you believe in? Did you let your light shine? Are you fighting for it?

Have you taken the time to identify your unique gifts? Have you shared them with the world?
