This week I removed the "like" button from the blog posts on RoadMaptoYourDreams.com. Why? Objectivity appeals to me and "likes" seem to capture this; still, trying to apply objective measures to something subjective is tricky.
My posts share what is going on in my head and heart. Is it ironic that I desire artistic freedom but want to limit the way in which my readers are allowed to express themselves? Do you have an opinion about the presence or lack of a like button?
While I was at my brother Darrell’s life celebration in NY, there was a windstorm in Maryland. I received a text from my neighbor that they were calling the police
I don’t know exactly when I realized that I was scheduled to work the same day Audrey and I were to fly to Orlando, Fl for National Club Swimming Association (NCSA) Age Group Championships.
As I prepared for my brother’s life celebration, I found out that I had no way to prepare for what I experienced. I already have the utmost admiration for my brother, still, over the course of one afternoon at West Point…
I am certain I did not understand the full significance of what he wrote then nor do I now, but I knew enough to hold onto his letters.
I tend not to be awestruck, but my older brother, Darrell, is an exception. He is my superhero.
Being mothered is a universal experience. It is a life long process.
I am grateful for all those who have touched my life and continue to invest in me in this way. God is intentional.. It is out of the abundance of His love through others that compels me.
