Exposing a Colossal Need

For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord.  “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.  I will be found by you,” declares the Lord

I continue to face a series of fires.  It is challenging me to my core.  At this moment, I need your help with this.  Does anyone know of an excellent NY State barred attorney that practices family law (in Central Upstate New York) interested in taking on a custody case Pro Bono?  Here is why.

My mom was guardian of my niece and nephew since birth.  When she passed, I stepped into her shoes to raise them.  It was something placed on my heart a long time ago but not like this.

I opened my home to my niece and nephew.  I did what had to be done.  I took off from work without pay to get them through the remainder of the school year, support all four children’s emotional needs, and cast a vision for where we are going together as a family, in Jesus’ name.

More than pride, understand that this is an ongoing legal matter which makes is difficult to discuss at present.  Over-simplified-view: someone outside of my family threatens the stability of my home by creating obstacles where there should be none.  This week I had a virtual court appearance to discuss the same.  I had to find coverage for my shift at the hospital to be fully present.  Although I sought legal opinion, I did not proceed with retaining an attorney. I arrived to the meeting without legal counsel.  Everyone else was represented.  It gave me pause, still there was nothing I could do in that moment.

Then the fire alarm went off in the court building.

But God.

Do you know someone that would like to help?
